Canyoning in the Bès de Courmes, Gorges du Loup

The route

Struck by the distance — only 250 meters — the Bès de Courmes is played vertically: 160 meters of descent in a succession of rappels. It is an excellent terrain to gain in ease on rope before tackling longer canyons. The most intrepid can add the large vertical of 65 meters. The course is also combined with the Loup water hiking for a full day in the gorges.

Location and access

The Bès de Courmes plunges into the Loup, in the heart of the gorges. The FunTrip base is located in Pont du Loup, next to the Florian confectionery. From Nice (40 km): follow the A8 towards the west until Cagnes-sur-Mer, then take the entrance to La Colle-sur-Loup, then follow the direction of Gréolières and the Gorges du Loup. The canyon is then joined in 15 minutes on foot. The exact meeting point is confirmed upon booking.

Equipment

• On loan : neoprene suit adapted to your morphology (jacket, trousers, slippers), helmet and rappel equipment. Please provide your height, weight and size before the departure.
• To be expected : sports shoes with laces, swimsuit, towel.
• Condition Knowing how to swim and being comfortable in the water.
